Meet with a Learning Strategist
Meet with a Learning Strategist for one-to-one individualized support during our drop-in hours, or by booking an appointment. We have drop-in hours throughout the week for quick meetings of up to 30 minutes. No pre-booking is required – simply check the schedule for the current week and walk in. 50-minute appointments must be scheduled in advance.
Note that our drop-in service is first-come, first-served.
You don’t always need an appointment to visit Academic Success in the Student Success Centre. A drop-in session is ideal for getting a general sense of how a Learning Strategist can support you, or for specific questions or tasks that might be resolved in 30 minutes or less. If you think you’ll need more time, please book an appointment to meet with a Learning Strategist for 50 minutes. Drop-in hours are available throughout the week, and are subject to change from term to term. Please check the current schedule before stopping by.
We see students in the order in which they arrive. When you get here you will be asked to sign in and wait until a Learning Strategist is available to see you. We thank you in advance for your patience, as you may have to wait up to an hour during busy times. Feel free to bring some reading, browse our handouts, use our study space or login to one of our computers while you wait.

Tuesdays 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Fridays 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Appointments are a great way to learn actively by reflecting on your experience and practicing new strategies right then and there. So, come prepared to roll up your sleeves and try something new! One-to-one appointments are 50 minutes long and begin at 10 minutes past the hour – also known as ‘U of T time’.

Take your Learning Strategist meeting out of the office with a walk-and-talk appointment. Discover how you learn best, how to manage your time and readings, or how to prepare for tests and exams – all while exploring the beautiful University of Toronto campus. Let us know if you are interested in a walk-and-talk when you book your appointment, or simply ask your Learning Strategist if you can take it outside.
