Community Action Project: TDSB Tutors in High School Classrooms Program
Become a TDSB Tutor
Become a volunteer tutor in a TDSB High School. Use your knowledge and skills to benefit students in high school. As a tutor, you can help students build upon their skills and realize their potential. Tutors work in partner schools to help teachers support learning in their classrooms. You get to choose which subject you will tutor, and we will provide you with the training you need to become a tutor.
This opportunity is open to all University of Toronto students.
How it works
Students who wish to participate in this opportunity must:
- Register for the TDSB Program
- Attend an interview and fill out a Police Reference Check application by requesting one in person at our office or by emailing us.
- Attend the Community Action Project Orientation.
- Tutor once a week for a minimum of 1-2 hours. Tutoring begins October and ends in April.
- Attend 2 reflection sessions with the CCP and other TDSB Tutors.
If you complete all five steps above you can add the experience to your Co-Curricular Record.
