University of Toronto (St. George) Club Presidents’ Retreat
Calling all U of T St. George club presidents! This year we are having our 5th annual Presidents' Retreat for the presidents of campus organizations, on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.
The retreat will provide higher level leadership training and conversations to clubs presidents, as well as the opportunity for presidents across all areas of club interests and practices to meet, share and learn from one another.
The Presidents’ Retreat was designed around Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner’s leading book and theory The Leadership Challenge. The Leadership Challenge framework grew out of rigorous research that first began in 1982 when Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner set out to understand times when leaders perform at their personal best. What emerged were five fundamental practices common to extraordinary leadership achievements: Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Process, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act and Encourage the Heart. Please note that this retreat is application based and we strongly encourage and invite all incoming club presidents to apply. The retreat aims to be a place for people of all backgrounds and experiences to come together to learn. To apply for the retreat, log into your CLNx account. Application deadline: extended to Friday, August 23, 2019. Following the deadline, applicants can register to be on the waitlist in case there are any cancellations.
