Eligibility
There is no experience necessary for these roles - the only experience that qualifies you is being a student.
How it works
For Student Mentors
As a student mentor you will gain leadership experience, increase your confidence in multi-generational settings and explore using your influence on others. You have important experiences to share and there is a faculty or staff member who wants to learn about them.
One condition of being accepted into the program is that attendance at the following meetings are mandatory, unfortunately students who have conflicts at these times will have to participate in a different session of the program.
For Staff or Faculty Mentees
As staff or faculty member (the mentee) you will be matched up with a student and have the opportunity to take part in a mentoring relationship which will allow you to see U of T through eyes of a student.
This program is for staff or faculty members who wish to have meaningful interactions with the "average" student and enhance their skills in empowering students to take on active roles in their community.
One condition of being accepted into the program is that attendance at the meetings listed in the "Pregram Schedule" below are mandatory, unfortunately staff or faculty who have conflicts at these times will have to participate in a different session of the program.
