Final marks and GPAs

Most final marks and GPAs are available now on ROSI. Over the weekend of May 14, Academic Standing will be calculated once almost all marks have been finalized. Before this weekend, some corrections and amendments have been made, and you may have noticed these changes. We do not notify students about individual mark changes before Academic Standing is assessed, but from this point on we will send an amended statement of results to students whenever a mark is changed or a new Standing is calculated. The Calendar has more information about grading and academic standing.

Unresolved matters from 2009-2010

Any academic matters that remain unresolved from the past fall/winter session should be brought to the attention of your College Registrar's office as soon as possible. Don't delay if you've had or still have a problem.

Owe fees from 2009-2010?

If you still have fees to pay from the fall/winter session, you should do so as soon as possible. Fees were due in full by April 30. Service charges (interest) continue to be charged to outstanding fees on the 15th of each month, and arrears will interfere with your ability to register in the next session.

Bookstore offers new way to save on textbooks

The U of T Bookstore is launching a pilot of a new textbook rental program this term. Students enrolled in ECO206Y1Y and STA302H1F will be able to rent their required textbooks this term for 40% less than the list price of the textbook. The Bookstore is starting small with the program in the summer, but hopes to get feedback from students and have many more titles available for rental in the fall.

Renewing curriculum and enriching education

Like urbanites who love the idea of their city's rich cultural smorgasbord but rarely sample its offerings, undergraduate students may marvel at the Faculty of Arts and Science's menu but stick to comfort foods. That's going to change, thanks to new breadth requirements that come into effect this fall, encouraging students to develop their palates.

Survey about UTORmail

U of T is getting set to improve the service provided by your official U of T email address, and would like to gather your opinions and preferences about email. Later this summer, you will receive a message asking you to complete an online survey, and we would love to hear what you have to say. Communicating effectively with you is important to us, and so your input is crucial. When the email arrives, please take the time to let us know what you think.

Flex passes now available for the Athletic Centre

As the grass greens and winter coats are stored away for another year, many students are thinking about getting healthier this season. But between part-time jobs, summer school classes and camping trips, it can be tough to commit to a once-a-week class. With this in mind, the Athletic Centre has created a unique opportunity for summer students and members: two eight-week Flex Pass options at an incredible price. Remember, students not enrolled in summer classes must purchase a summer membership to use the Athletic Centre.

You can use the facilities at Hart House during the summer even if you are not registered for classes. Check out the Spring 2010 What's Inside Guide to see what programs are offered.

LGBTQ Office hosts drop-in lounge hours

The Office of LGBTQ Resources and Programs will be hosting summer drop-in hours Monday - Thursday, 12:00pm - 5:00pm. Drop in to the offices at 21 Sussex Avenue, 4th floor to relax, study, or catch up on some of the queer publications the office receives. Light snacks will be available each day and there is wireless Internet for those who bring their laptops.

Serving you this summer

Most student services are available to you over the summer, even if you're not taking classes until the fall. The Academic Success Centre, Career Centre, Counselling and Pyschological Services, Health Service, and others are here to help all summer long! We suggest you contact the service directly if you have any questions concerning summer hours.
