Academic Success Study Hubs
Why study alone when you can study with friends?
How it works
Come to one or all of the Study Hubs throughout the school year for regular two- or three-hour* study sessions. At the beginning of each session, a Learning Strategist or peer mentor will help you set an achievable study goal; the rest of the time will be dedicated to quiet studying in a distraction-free environment, with a brief check-in at the end to see how you did.
If you find it hard to focus on projects and to stay on track, you can make the Study Hubs part of your regular week. And if you need some help, Learning Strategists and peer mentors are on hand to provide some useful academic resources.
We also have snacks!
Schedule & Locations
From September 19 to December 14**, the Study Hubs run on different days and times so you can easily come in before, between or after your classes.
Monday, 2:00–4:00** — VUSAC Back Meeting Room, GC 127
Tuesday, 10:00–1:00** — Room 240, DA second floor
Tuesday, 1:00–3:00** — VUSAC Back Meeting Room, GC 127
Tuesday, 4:30–6:30 — Student Success Centre, KS ground floor
Wednesday, 3:00–5:00 — First Nations House Lounge, NB third floor
Thursday, 10:00–12:00 — Baldwin Room, CU ground floor
** Study Hubs in the VUSAC space begin on 13 November 2017. Study Hubs at Daniels do not run on 10 and 17 November 2017.
