Final transcript

A transcript is an official record of the marks/grades that you received during your studies at the University of Toronto. Two copies of your official final University of Toronto transcript will be sent by CIE to your home university, at no cost to you when you meet both conditions outlined below:

  • all of your marks havve been posted on ACORN
  • you do not owe the University any money (e.g. library late fees)

If you have an outstanding balance on your ACORN account, your transcript will not be sent to your home institution. There is no need to contact our office about this as we will automatically send your transcript to your home institution once your marks are posted and you do not owe the university any outstanding fees.

Fall term only (Sept – Dec): Expect transcript in late January/early to mid-February

Winter term (Jan – Apr) or full academic year (Sept – Apr): Expect transcript in late May/early June

Summer term (May – Aug): Expect transcript in late September/early to mid-October

Additional transcript orders must be made through the ACORN website or directly through the University of Toronto's Transcript Centre (100 St. George Street, Room 1006). The cost per copy is approximately $12.

Health insurance

All international students coming to the University of Toronto are required to purchase health insurance through the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP). This is a mandatory fee that all exchange students must pay.

About Supplementary Health Insurance
Exchange students are not automatically enrolled in a supplementary insurance plan for additional coverage such as prescription drugs or dental maintenance. Most University of Toronto students pay for this supplementary insurance through their tuition fees.  Therefore, we recommend that you purchase travel health insurance if you require the additional coverage.

Housing

Housing Services offers assistance and advice to all students on housing-related matters. They can assist you with finding on-campus and off-campus accommodations after you are admitted as an exchange student.

If you enrol at the Scarborough campus (UTSC), you are guaranteed on-campus housing, provided you complete the residence application and submit your deposit by the deadline indicated in your admission package.

If you enrol at the Mississauga campus (UTM), guaranteed on-campus housing is provided to full-year (Sept. to April) exchange students only. You must complete the residence application and submit your deposit by the deadline indicated in your admission package. There is no guaranteed on-campus housing for one semester (e.g., Fall and Winter) exchange students.

Exchange students at the St. George (UTSG) campus are NOT guaranteed on-campus housing.
