Announcing the 2017 CIE Photo Contest winners!

The 2017 contest is closed. Winners have been identified based on Facebook online votes and in-person ballot votes at the exhibit event.

See the photos on Student Life Facebook (in 4 different photo albums based on contest categories). Also, the various contest photos will continue to be displayed in several rooms at CIE over the year.

How it works

The exhibit will showcase creative works by past exchange participants and students currently studying abroad or on an international exchange here at U of T.

Share your experiences through photographs taken during your exchange! Prizes will be given for first place in each category!

Attendees will vote on their favourite pictures so be sure to invite all your friends and family to the exhibition on March 8, 2017!

Don’t forget to vote online during our Facebook voting period: February 23 to March 8.

 

Submission guidelines

Submission period: January 1 – February 19, 2017  (PHOTO SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED)

You can submit up to 2 photos in total for the overall contest (whether you are submitting within one category or more than one category); please do not include any images showing inappropriate behaviour. Photos must be original. Photos should be submitted by email to uoftgloballounge@gmail.com, with a minimum resolution of 300 ppi and at least 8x10 inches in size. Photos must be a minimum of 2MB to be accepted.

*ALL photos MUST be labelled in the format below; otherwise they WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Format: TITLE, LastName, FirstName. Location. ProgramOfStudy. Institution. Category.

Example: SUNSET SCENERY, Mejia, Nathalie. Santiago. Polisci. University of Chile. People and Places.

The last day for submissions will be Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.  

*Please note that by entering this competition you are consenting to future use of your photographs by the Centre for International Experience and the University of Toronto. Use includes, but is not limited to, information booklets, pamphlets, website pages, etc.
