WordPress Upgrade Performed on the July 28

Student Life IT has performed a routine upgrade on the student group websites hosted through WordPress. If you have a student group website, please take note of the following details;

1. The upgrade was performed on July, 28 2016.

2. Student Groups, who are no longer recognized by Ulife, have had their sites deactivated.

3. Student Life IT has installed new themes, be sure to check out the following new looks;

  • Eemeli
  • Intergalactic
  • WCK2014
  • Newton

4. The following plugins are no longer supported;

  • bbPress
  • BuddyPress
  • Captcha by BestWebSoft
  • DMSGuestbook
  • DMSGuestbook widget
  • Evolution Twitter Timeline
  • Featured Articles Lite 3
  • PixoPoint Menu Plugin
  • Simple:Press Forum
  • Slickr Flickr
  • Special Recent Posts FREE Edition
  • Stout Google Calendar
  • User Role Editor
  • WordPress Importer
  • WordPress.com Stats
  • YD Recent Posts with thumbnails
  • iframe
  • Lightbox Plus Colorbox
  • Ryans Suckerfish WordPress Dropdown Menu

The WordPress upgrade may break the functionality of the above listed plugins. If your WordPress site uses one or more of these plugins, be sure to confirm functionality. Student Life IT recommends these plugins be phased out.  In many cases, there are supported plugins which serve the same purpose.
