Our multiple, intersectional identities are intrinsically tied to how we find and show up at work – so let’s chat about it!
Through Identities @ Work, join other students, recent alumni, a career educator, and a campus partner to discuss, unpack, challenge and reflect on questions about work and our identity(ies). Sessions are hybird and take place on the last Tuesday of the month during the Fall/Winter academic cycle.
Explore a different social identity in each session, and discuss ways to foster confidence and self-advocacy, build community, and find workplaces that align with your values, priorities and interests. There is also space to build connections and community with those who have similar experiences to you, and work towards allyship alongside those whose experiences differ.
Check out and register for upcoming sessions on CLNx:
- Navigating Parenting, Caregiving & Work (with Family Care Office), October 23, 1 – 2 p.m.
- Navigating Job Searching as an International Student (with CIE), November 27, 2 – 4 p.m.
- 2SLGBTQ+ Experiences & Work, January 2026 TBD
- Religious Values & Work (with Multi-Faith), February 2026 TBD

All sessions are hybrid and offered in-person at 800 Bay, 5th floor and on Zoom. Coffee, tea, baked goods and other snacks will be available for in-person attendees.
Sessions will involve an interactive presentation, and opportunities for dialogue and connection across our experiences and identities. While our conversation is made stronger with the inclusion of more voices, we understand some folks may prefer to observe. We trust you to participate in the session in the way that best meets your needs.
