In this group, you’ll work with therapists and other students on ways to feel less anxious, improve your mood, and feel more motivated day-to-day. Before joining, you’ll need an assessment to determine if the group is a good fit for your goals
The group is designed for students dealing with worries, procrastination, feeling down or depressed, anxiety, overthinking, and feeling down. You will learn and strengthen your skills to help you handle spiraling thoughts, and feel more confident in your day-to-day life.

- Challenge your negative thoughts
- Face situations that make you nervous
- Deal with avoidance and procrastination
Why group therapy?
Group therapy gives you the chance to learn from the expertise of therapists and the experiences of other students. In a collaborative and supportive environment, you learn practical skills you can use to improve your wellbeing and reduce symptoms. After participating in this group, students report being better able to challenge anxious thoughts, set and work towards goals, and confidently face situations that make them feel anxious.
- “I really love the group. It helps me to face mental difficulties directly and try to use new techniques to deal with them.“
- “I think life in general felt more comfortable during this program.”
- “I realized that this program gave me the ability to feel like I could help myself. I didn’t think I could feel better on my own, and now I feel like I can.”
- “It was nice to connect in a group setting and learn skills.“
How to join
Call 416-978-8030 ext. 5 to book an assessment and see which therapy group is the best fit for you.
The assessment can be booked within the same day or the next day, and it’s a 45-minute consultation with a therapist where you’ll talk about your challenges, your goals, and what you’re looking to get out of joining a group. The conversation is meant to figure out if a group will help you meet your goals. If not, we’ll guide you to other supports that can.
