Volunteer Connections
Are you looking for a flexible way to get involved in the Toronto community? Through Volunteer Connections, you will support local nonprofit organizations through one-time or short-term volunteer opportunities that address immediate community needs. Learn about the work of community organizations, contribute to meaningful initiatives, and engage in reflection that helps you connect your experience to your values and professional goals.
Through this program, you will:
- Learn about the programs, services and communities served by local nonprofit organizations in Toronto
- Gain hands-on experience supporting community initiatives at a time that works for you
- Build connections with communities across Toronto and explore various nonprofit sectors
Register for the Volunteer Connections
How Volunteer Connections Works
- Rolling registration and asynchronous orientation on Folio concluding with an opt in to our listserv to learn about each new opportunity.
- When contacted, CCCEL staff will send students information about the organization and the volunteer opportunity. Students can register for the opportunity if interested.
- Students go onsite to partner and conduct the volunteering opportunity.
- Once you attend a volunteer engagement, you will be invited to complete the asynchronous reflection on Folio.
